Abstract

Data visualization is the newest form of global communication through a series of organized visuals that form connections between information and users. With the advent of the Internet and the wealth of information that is has brought to us, we as users are bombarded with great amounts of information on a daily basis. Attempting to sift through all of this information can be quite taxing, so the combination of information with visual design has helped create a place where we can view the information in one visual arena.

My goal is not to write a research paper on what data visualization is, but to create a series of visual designs that embodies what it looks like and how it can offer an organized and compacted form of what it essentially is. I will probably create several animated flash files and create a mini film about what data visualization is.
